ABOUT MEREDITH
About Your Teacher:
I’m Meredith and was born in Dallas to a family of southern cooks. I grew up savoring homemade chicken and dumplings, cornbread dressing and okra gumbo.
One summer during my tweens, my grandmother sent me to cooking school camp at the Anatole Hotel in their flagship restaurant, The Nana Grill. Learning from an executive chef in a restaurant kitchen about food ingredients, preparation and cooking technique fostered my love of the culinary world.
After college, I continued to take cooking classes (over 200) to hone my technique. I’ve met notable chefs and traveled the world to discover other cuisines.
My style can be described as modern comfort with a twist. I love transforming dishes using unexpected ingredients. Sharing these culinary creations with friends and family is rewarding and has become a part of my life.
I'm proud to call Houston home. It truly is the city for multicultural cuisine. From South African bobotie to South Korean BBQ to Viet-Cajun Crawfish to Tex Mex, you can find it all. I love exploring our local treasures!
Please join me on a foodie journey as I pass on my knowledge, cooking techniques and entertaining tips to you in a personalized cooking class.
